Colorado Rapids - Having joined MLS in 1995 as one of the original franchises, the Colorado Rapids have been somewhat of a nomadic team in terms of what stadium they have called their home. From 1996-2001 they played at Mile High Stadium, Invesco Field at Mile High in 2002, and the state of the art 24-field soccer complex known as Dick’s Sporting Goods Park from 2007 to present. Highlights for the team include trips to the MLS Cup final in 1997 and the U.S. Open Cup final in 1999. Like its moves from stadium to stadium, their team logo and colors have changed three times as well to become what it is today. The Rapids boast a strong, passionate fan base, with a high average fan attendance year in and year out.
